Orders from UK or US stock add import charges. / Off Model A €9.99 copy of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 on amazon.de costs about €10.91 more to send to Cyprus. A Naruto box set listed at €131.21 adds about €35, yet works out at under €7 a volume. Both figures come from the same rate. Amazon does deliver to Cyprus, mainly through amazon.de, for **€9.99 per delivery plus €4.99 per kg**. The flat fee punishes a single paperback. The weight charge dominates a box set. There is no Amazon store for Cyprus, and Prime is not sold here. So the useful question is not whether Amazon delivers, but what the parcel costs once it lands, and when a Cyprus shop or an EU bookseller is the better buy. _Estimates use amazon.de’s standard Cyprus rate, prices shown on 8 October 2026 and the weights Blackwell’s lists for each book (184 g and 5,062 g). Delivery of these exact listings to Cyprus was not verified, and checkout VAT for a Cyprus address may differ._ > [!IMPORTANT] > **The short version** > > Start with amazon.de, the only European Amazon store found offering standard delivery to Cyprus. Budget for weight, not the €9.99 headline: every kilogram adds €4.99. Watch for “Amazon UK” and “Amazon US” offers on amazon.de, which add import charges, including the EU’s €3 duty on low-value parcels. Kindle devices do not ship here; Kobo is the practical e-reader. For single volumes and figures already in stock locally, a Cyprus shop often wins. ## Weight, not the €9.99, sets the price amazon.de has two options to Cyprus for items it sells or fulfils ([Amazon.de international delivery]()). Standard delivery takes 5–9 working days and costs €9.99 per delivery plus €4.99 per kg. Express takes 2–4 working days at €20.99 plus €14.49 per kg. Cyprus is not on amazon.de’s free-delivery list ([Amazon.de delivery rules]()). The per-kg charge is applied proportionally, which is why the two opening examples split so sharply. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 pays €9.99 plus about 92 cents for its weight, so delivery more than doubles its price. The Naruto box pays the same €9.99 once, plus about €25 for five kilograms, spread across 24 volumes. Bulky parcels can be charged on dimensional weight instead. The €9.99 is charged per delivery, not per item. Add Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the Naruto order and, if the two travel as one delivery, the extra volume costs about 92 cents to send. Items dispatched from different warehouses or sellers may each count as a separate delivery. amazon.de recommends grouping items into as few deliveries as possible, and the order summary shows how many there will be. Marketplace sellers ignore all of this. In the [Real Cost of Collecting]() check, two amazon.de offers for the same Funko figure had the same €11.89 item price. A slow marketplace seller charged €1.68 delivery. The faster fulfilled offer charged €24.47. ## Some amazon.de listings are really UK or US imports Buying from amazon.de does not guarantee EU stock. Some listings are shipped by **“Amazon UK”** or **“Amazon US”** through the Global Store, and those offers carry an **“Estimated Import Charges”** line. On 8 October, two English-language books showed €3.21 in import charges. That looks like the €3 EU duty plus German VAT on top of it, although that is an inference, not Amazon’s explanation. A Dragon Ball box set over €150 showed €12.68, because full import VAT applies above that threshold instead of the flat €3. All of these estimates are recalculated for a Cyprus address at checkout. The €3 duty is new. Since **1 July 2026**, parcels worth up to €150 arriving from outside the EU carry a flat **€3 customs duty per item**, counted by tariff classification rather than quantity. In the European Commission’s example, five T-shirts count once, while a T-shirt and a watch count twice. The rule is temporary and runs until 1 July 2028 ([Council of the EU]() · [European Commission guidance]() · [Regulation (EU) 2026/382]()). Ordering from **amazon.co.uk** or **amazon.com** directly works the same way. Amazon collects import VAT at checkout. The UK store also warns that some items cannot be sent to the EU, and that an EU-issued card may attract a cross-border fee ([Amazon.co.uk]()). The Real Cost piece has a worked amazon.com example. A €14.02 figure became €28.55 delivered to Cyprus once AmazonGlobal delivery (€11.54) and €3 in import charges were added. The local shop was cheaper, even with home delivery. Inside the EU there is no customs. VAT is charged at the destination country’s rate, so a Cyprus checkout can show a different price from the German one on the product page ([Amazon.de]()). ## Kindles will not ship, so Kobo is the e-reader amazon.de currently delivers Kindle devices only to a few countries, including Germany, Austria and Luxembourg. Cyprus is not among them ([Amazon.de]()). Kindle e-books are a separate question, covered in the [manga apps guide](). That makes **Kobo** the practical manga e-reader. amazon.de sells the Kobo Libra Colour and Kobo Clara BW, but delivery of those listings to Cyprus was not confirmed, so check at checkout. Kobo also has a Cyprus storefront for manga e-books, priced in euros, although its Kobo Plus subscription is not available here. Kindles are not the only exclusion. amazon.co.uk flags some items as not deliverable to the EU, and Amazon blocks some other products from international delivery. There is no complete list; the basket says when an item is affected. ## For single volumes, Cyprus shops usually win At about €21 delivered, a single volume from amazon.de is hard to justify. The [Manga Shelf in Cyprus]() audit found many standard One Piece volumes listed at Parga for around €10–12. POW! routes online manga orders to a local branch for collection in 10–15 days. Mid-run gaps favour EU and UK booksellers. In the [continuity tax]() check, **Blackwell’s** (UK) displayed prices _including delivery to Cyprus and customs_, while Libristo (EU) and SciFier could supply most of the sampled volumes. Those prices date from August 2026, so re-check them. Figures already in stock locally are often cheaper too. In the Real Cost check, King of Toys beat an amazon.com order for an exact-match Funko once delivery and import charges were added. Magic Island’s local price beat amazon.de’s faster fulfilled offer, although a slow marketplace seller was cheaper still. For smaller ranges and special requests, A3 Collectibles and Cypronite are worth asking. Amazon earns its place elsewhere. Heavy box sets sold or fulfilled by Amazon from EU stock spread one €9.99 fee across 20 or more volumes. Filament and other hobby supplies can be worth it during a limited-time deal, although weight adds up quickly. Marketplace sellers set their own._ amazon.de is inside the EU, so Amazon’s own stock reaches Cyprus without customs, and its standard rate suits one heavier parcel. The other EU stores share that tax position but offer only express delivery to Cyprus, at €20.99 per shipment plus €14.49 per kg; amazon.it also rounds the weight up to the next kilogram. Prime does not change the calculation. It is not sold in Cyprus, and amazon.de’s Cyprus rates make no exception for members. ## The seller line matters as much as the store On any product page, read who the item is **sold by** and who it is **dispatched by**: - **Sold and dispatched by Amazon.** amazon.de’s international rates and Amazon’s returns process apply. This is the most predictable option. - **Sold by a seller, dispatched by Amazon.** Usually fine. Amazon handles delivery, but the seller sets the price and may not stock the item for long. - **Sold and dispatched by a seller.** The seller decides whether it ships to Cyprus, what delivery costs and how long it takes. Several English-language box sets on amazon.de come from Dutch or UK-based booksellers this way, and a UK-based seller can mean import paperwork and a longer wait. - **“Amazon UK” or “Amazon US”.** A Global Store import, with the charges described above. Check the buy box too, the main “Add to basket” offer. If there is none, there may be no new copy at all, only used or marketplace offers further down the page. ## English manga on amazon.de has gaps amazon.de is a German store, and its English-language manga mostly comes from importers and the Global Store. A check on 8 October 2026 found: - **[Sakamoto Days]() vol. 1 and [Kagurabachi]() vol. 1 (English):** no new copy in the buy box. - **[Gachiakuta]() vol. 1 (English):** only the Kindle edition turned up. German editions are easier to find. - **[Frieren]() vol. 1 (English):** only a used copy, while vol. 2 was sold by Amazon. These were single checks on one day, and stock moves. The pattern is still familiar from the continuity tax check: volumes go missing at the start, middle and end of a run. Product pages otherwise show German VAT and German delivery. 2. **Check “sold by” and “dispatched by”** on every item. 3. **Look for “Estimated Import Charges”.** If it appears, the offer comes from outside the EU. 4. **Match the exact edition:** ISBN for books, model number or UPC for figures, and language. 5. **Batch orders** so the €9.99 per-delivery charge is paid once, and confirm the delivery count at checkout. 6. **Read “RRP” with care.** On imported English manga, a “−30%” against a converted publisher price is often the everyday price, not a sale. 7. **Compare one local route and one EU bookseller** (Blackwell’s or Libristo) before paying. 8. **Keep the checkout total** as your reference for the next comparison. It is the only figure that includes Cyprus VAT and delivery. Amazon does deliver to Cyprus.
