Where to Buy Manga in Cyprus: Shops, Special Orders and Shipping Compared

Where you buy depends on what you need. To browse in person, start with Ant Comics↗ (opens in a new tab) in Nicosia. For a bigger local online catalogue, try Cypronite↗ (opens in a new tab) and Prelium Collectibles↗ (opens in a new tab) . Missing a volume? Ask for it by ISBN. Ordering from abroad? Compare the delivered total, not the cover price.

Pick the route that fits

Local shelves and Cyprus-based catalogues

Ant Comics is the island’s clearest specialist shop, with a dedicated manga section and a shop in Nicosia↗ (opens in a new tab) . Online orders go out on Wednesdays. The range is smaller than the big catalogues, so it’s best for grabbing what’s in stock right now.

Parga↗ (opens in a new tab) mixes English books and Greek-language manga, with free BOX NOW delivery above €38.

Public Cyprus is handy for looking up an ISBN at a familiar chain. In my continuity check, most sampled Public books were supplier orders, so expect a wait on anything marked “available to order”.

POW! The Shop↗ (opens in a new tab) is better for anime and manga gifts than for a long series, and it delivers free across Cyprus↗ (opens in a new tab) above €40.

Cypronite has the biggest Cyprus-based manga catalogue I found, and a custom comic request form↗ (opens in a new tab) for anything it doesn’t stock. Emailing them with a special request works too.

Prelium, another Cyprus-based specialist, bags and boards individual comics and ships in rigid packaging, which is nice for collector copies.

For what was actually on local shelves, see the summer 2026 shelf check. Convention stalls are another once-a-year route, though at Cyprus Comic Con 2026 I found fewer surprises than I hoped.

Ask by ISBN

An ISBN↗ (opens in a new tab) pins down the exact title, edition and format, so it’s the quickest way to get the right book. Send it with the volume number and ask for the delivered price and dispatch date. Cypronite’s form and Book Odyssey’s book-finding form↗ (opens in a new tab) both take requests; Book Odyssey is in Greece, so add Cyprus delivery to its quote.

Example: tracking down Kagurabachi Vol. 8

On 16 October, the English VIZ volume 8 (ISBN 9781974716500) wasn’t listed at Ant Comics, Cypronite, Prelium, Parga, POW!, Public (which stops at volume 7), Book Odyssey or Protoporia. Here’s what getting it to Cyprus looked like:

When I asked, Cypronite quoted three to four weeks, no customs. A missing volume doesn’t mean ordering abroad, so ask a local shop first. For one book, flat shipping like Walt’s eats the saving. Links: Skroutz↗ (opens in a new tab) , Blackwell’s↗ (opens in a new tab) , Walt’s↗ (opens in a new tab) .

Four opening volumes, five shops

I priced four popular first volumes by exact English ISBN. Then I built guest baskets to see the delivered price to Cyprus, without paying.

The short version: Skroutz was the cheapest way to get all four delivered (€60.17), Book Odyssey the cheapest single shop with all four (€68.49 via BOX NOW), and Blackwell’s is a strong pick for three books with no extras at checkout.

Book Odyssey↗ (opens in a new tab) is the cheapest single shop with all four: €10 to a BOX NOW locker in Cyprus (€15 by courier), since its free shipping is Greece-only.

Walt’s had three of the four, now listed as pre-orders. Cyprus counts as an “EU Islands & Special Territories” destination, so DHL is a flat €18.50 and the free EU shipping over €150 doesn’t apply↗ (opens in a new tab) .

Blackwell’s↗ (opens in a new tab) is the no-surprises option: its prices include Cyprus delivery and customs, with delivery in 10–15 business days.

Skroutz Cyprus↗ (opens in a new tab) came out cheapest delivered: the four best offers from different shops cost €51.17 plus €9 standard shipping for two shipments (€4.50 with Skroutz Plus).

Nerdom↗ (opens in a new tab) , an Athens pop-culture shop, would be €75.95 delivered, but only Solo Leveling was in stock on the day.

Other Greek shops ship here too: Protoporia↗ (opens in a new tab) sends to BOX NOW lockers in Cyprus for €6.90, and Politeia↗ (opens in a new tab) quotes overseas shipping before you pay.

For box sets, amazon.de ships standard to Cyprus; the Amazon delivery guide has the rates and tips.

EU orders skip customs

Books shipped from within the EU↗ (opens in a new tab) carry no customs duty, so the only extra is shipping.

Since 1 July 2026, parcels from outside the EU↗ (opens in a new tab) worth up to €150 carry a flat €3 duty per item, plus VAT and often a courier clearance fee. The Amazon guide explains the rule, and the Real Cost piece shows how those extras add up.

If you’re open to digital, the manga apps guide covers what works in Cyprus and what it costs.

Quick picks

• One book: check local stock first.
• A missing volume: ask a local shop by ISBN.
• Several books: Skroutz and Book Odyssey were the cheapest delivered.
• Non-EU orders: add VAT, the €3 duty and a courier fee before comparing.
• Collector copies: go for a shop that packs well.

Happy hunting. The best deal is the one where you know the final price and the edition before you pay.
