Full Moon Market Brings Local Makers to Forest Beach

Full Moon Market is a new two-night summer event at Forest Beach on Dhekelia Road in Pyla. It runs on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August 2026 from 17:00 to 23:00, combining an artisan market with street food, acoustic music and early-evening family activities.

What I hope to find

My main search here would be for an original art print from a local illustrator: something with a clear individual point of view rather than a generic decorative image. The organiser has confirmed prints and illustrations as a market category, but not the artists themselves, so the real decision will have to wait until the maker introductions appear or the stalls open.

Music, food and family activities

Family programming is intended for the earlier part of each evening. Announced activities include moon-and-star crafts, dreamcatcher making, face painting, bubble entertainment and hair braiding. Prices or booking arrangements for those activities have not been published.

The wider programme promises acoustic performances by local musicians, with folk, soul, jazz and world music among the proposed styles. Different performers are planned for each night, but names and set times remain unannounced.

The food area is expected to include savoury street food, desserts and drinks, including local wine and craft beer. Food vendors have not yet been named. A quieter “Wish Upon the Moon” area will provide free tags for visitors to write and hang on a lit wishing tree.
