Last week Nue’s Exorcist ran 15th in the same issue that brought news of its TV anime. This week Weekly Shonen Jump 2026 No. 47 gives it the cover, the lead colour and first place. It is the magazine catching up with the news, and it sets the tone for a lively, well-stocked issue with no breaks.

Elsewhere, Someone Hertz makes the week’s biggest move, Kagurabachi climbs, and Sakamoto Days uses next week’s preview to announce something readers have not had for a while: a popularity poll. The Jump Festa 2027 stage programme is out too, so this entry ends with the times that matter in Cyprus.

Nue’s Exorcist goes from 15th to the cover

Chapter 165 opens the issue in colour, billed as a celebration of the TV anime announcement. Kota Kawae’s comment at the back of the magazine thanks readers for support “strong enough to get an anime”. The jump from 15th to first is what a cover week looks like rather than a sudden change in fortunes, but it is a nice way for the magazine to mark the moment.

The anime is due in summer 2027 on TV Asahi, and Nue’s Exorcist will also appear on Jump Festa’s Jump Studio stage on 19 December.

Someone Hertz makes the week’s biggest move

The most interesting shift in the running order (opens in a new tab) has nothing to do with colour pages. Someone Hertz climbs from ninth to second with chapter 53, its best placement in recent issues. Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi rises five to fifth, Ichi the Witch two to fourth, and Graykeith: Translator Daemonica recovers four places to tenth after last week’s drop. The Ura Files moves up to ninth at only chapter 7 and gets a centre colour next week.

Going the other way, Witch Watch drops six places to 14th, and Shinobi Undercover slides from first to 15th, which is the usual comedown after an anniversary cover. One Piece holds third with chapter 1196, then takes a break in No. 48.

Running order is an editorial decision partly shaped by reader surveys, not a published ranking, and this one comes from two fan trackers that agree with each other. Read it as a weather report rather than a scoreboard.

The colour pages inside go to Akane-banashi for the climax of its current arc and its 24th volume, Me & Roboco for volume 28, and Osanamajo to Kateikyoshi by Isshin Mineuchi, the fourth Golden Future Cup one-shot. A fifth entry, by Wani, follows in No. 48, so the contest runs to at least five this year.

Sakamoto Days calls a poll in its final stretch

Sakamoto Days chapter 279 (opens in a new tab) runs sixth, and the official No. 48 preview confirms two things for next week: a cover and lead colour for the series’ sixth anniversary, and its third character popularity poll.

The timing is what makes it interesting. Shueisha said in July that the manga is heading to its climax (opens in a new tab) , and there is still no end date. The previous poll opened in 2024 No. 47 and its results arrived in 2025 No. 14, about four months later. What this one means for the schedule is for readers to decide. For now it is a fun week to be a Sakamoto Days fan.

The anime side stays fixed: Season 2 starts in January 2027 on Netflix, and the cast takes the Jump Festa Super Stage on 19 December.

Kagurabachi climbs, and opens Jump Festa

Kagurabachi chapter 135 (opens in a new tab) runs 12th, up five places and its best slot in weeks. jump-otona marks it on reduced pages for a third week, and the exact page count hasn’t been confirmed.

Off the page, the series has a busy run-up to its April 2027 anime. It opens the Jump Festa main stage on Saturday 19 December with Taiga Kimura, Tomokazu Seki, Katsuyuki Konishi, Yūichi Nakamura, Miku Itō and Kyōri Nemoto. An Ichiban Kuji (opens in a new tab) lottery with third-anniversary art launches in Japan on 24 October. For background on the stage, see our earlier piece on Kagurabachi joining the Super Stage. If the anime has you looking for the volumes, the where-to-buy guide covers routes from Cyprus.

Jump Festa 2027 in Cyprus time

Jump Festa runs on 19–20 December in Japan, and all three stages stream live and free on Shueisha’s YouTube Jump Channel. The Super Stage programme (opens in a new tab) was released on 19 October. Cyprus will be on winter time by then, seven hours behind Japan, so the start times below are early ones.

Jump Festa 2027 Jump Super Stage times from the official programme (Famitsu, 19 October 2026). Cyprus is UTC+2 in December, seven hours behind Japan.

One Piece gets a 50-minute slot. AnimeMojo reports that the Jujutsu Kaisen stage will bring Season 4 news, but we have not confirmed that on the official site. Chainsaw Man’s stage features Kikunosuke Toya, and no announcement has been promised.

Two dates come sooner. An Akane-banashi Season 2 special streams on tv asahi animation’s YouTube channel on Sunday 25 October at 11:00 Cyprus time, ahead of Season 2 in January (opens in a new tab) . And the English dub of Black Clover Season 2 (opens in a new tab) started on Crunchyroll on 17 October, with Dallas Reid back as Asta. The Black Clover Season 2 refresher is a good place to start.

Lively, with Sakamoto Days as the pick

No. 47 is a lively issue rather than a landmark: no breaks, a cover that the news earned, and a genuine climb for Someone Hertz. This week’s heat pick goes to Sakamoto Days, sixth in the line-up but first in what it promises next week: an anniversary cover and a poll. One Piece steps aside for No. 48, so the stage is clear.
